In today's market P.W.S Ltd have identified the area of Project Management as a key factor in being able to satisfy customers with peace of mind in the knowledge that complete projects can be controlled and supplied by one point of contact.The business puts great emphasis on this area as it enables us to offer a solution to support a customers requirements with our own dedicated engineering department. We have undertaken many large projects for direct line feed, with rigid deadlines. One of these being the Tornado re-fit programme for BAE Systems. This comprised of between 140-200 components in each kit, which were delivered two or three times per month on a direct line feed basis straight into their production.
In 2002 we were awarded a contract by a 1st tier contractor to supply Sand Filter Housings for the conversion of all the Challenger 2 Tanks for desert use. The project was undertaken directly with the contractor and their customer on a stringent time scale for completion. By working closely with the 1st tier contractor on the design and production of the filter housings we were able to achieve the designated deadline.
For another customer, we are a key supplier of civil aircraft cabin and galley fixtures and assemblies, which are ordered on a kit per aircraft basis. The kits comprise of components from a range of more then 2,000 parts and assemblies held on file.
