P.W.S. Ltd offer a full CNC milling capability. Using the latest Pathtrace – Edgecam and Mastercam software’s on Bridgeport machinery we are able to produce work of the highest standard to any required specification.We have been producing Aerospace and Defence machined components consisting of many compound and complex surfaces as well as work for the commercial sector since the mid 1980’s. We have the experience, skills and technologies to satisfy any company’s requirements.
Our CNC machining software allows us to perform a direct - tool path to model - comparison, eliminating the risk of errors during the machining process and reducing production times. This is complimented by our inspection software pc dmiss cad ++ which performs a - part to model - comparison to whatever tolerance is requested, again eliminating any errors from production, in doing so ensuring the part is right 1st time and every time.

- 3 VMC 760/22 vertical machining centres
The active envelope of these machines as being (X.Y.Z axis) 760, 500, 500 allied to which full simultaneous fourth axis contouring is available - VMC 2000 XP vertical machining centre
Offering machining capacity of 2 meters x 750mm. 
Latest Addition: VMC1500XP3HP
This machine has been customised by P.W.S in conjunction with the supplier to accommodate simultaneous 5 axis machining. It also has the ability to end-mill jobs in the horizontal position (y axis), and has a bed of 1,700mm X 660mm giving it a working range of (x,y,z) 1,500 X 660 X 610. This was undertaken as part of P.W.S’s continual improvement program, giving us a competitive edge in the marketplace.
The machines are regularly laser calibrated and have the benefit of in-progress strain gauge probing. Tool setting probing allows for rapid and accurate setting to be achieved.
